Choose by how long the graphic must last and what it goes on.
Durability and budget
IJ15 and IJ16 are economical calendered print vinyls for signs and promotions (1–2 years). IJ35C balances cost and quality for medium-term vehicle graphics and signage (3–5 years). IJ180mC is the flagship cast wrap film (7+ years) for vehicle wraps, curves and rivets.
Controltac™, Comply™ and overlaminates
3M’s Controltac™ adhesive lets the film slide into position before you press it down, and Comply™ air-release channels let trapped air escape for bubble-free installation. Match each film with its 3M overlaminate: 8518 for IJ180mC wraps, 8508 for general graphics and 4156/4157 for short-term promotions.

It depends on durability and budget. IJ15 (1–2 years) is for temporary promotions, IJ35C (3–5 years) for general signage and medium-term vehicle graphics, and IJ180mC (7+ years) for complex vehicle wraps and long-term fleets.
3M films are compatible with eco-solvent, latex and UV inks. Send us your printer model and the job, and we’ll recommend the film and the matching 3M overlaminate.
3M lists the 8518, 8519 and 8520 clear cast overlaminates (gloss, luster or matte) for IJ180mC wraps. For general graphics use 8508, 8509 or 8510, and for short-term promotions on IJ1220 use 4156 or 4157.
IJ3630 translucent film gives even day and night colour for up to 9 years outdoors. Day/Night Film 3635 shows one colour by day and another when backlit, Blockout Film 3635 stops light showing through, and Panagraphics III is a translucent flexible face up to 5 m wide for seamless light boxes.
