Roll-Feed Cutting Plotters

A roll-feed cutting plotter, often called a vinyl cutter, feeds media straight from the roll and cuts it with a fine drag blade. With optical registration it reads the marks printed around a graphic and contour-cuts stickers, decals and wrap panels exactly to shape, which makes it the usual partner for a sign shop’s printer.
- Best For: Vinyl lettering and decals, contour-cut stickers, heat-transfer garments, reflective signs and vehicle wrap panels.
- The Range: Graphtec CE8000 for everyday sign work; Graphtec FC9000 for heavy production, taking media up to 1,850 mm wide (FC9000-160); Liyu GF1261 with a 1,260 mm cut width.
- Why DPI: Graphtec distributor since 2005, with genuine blades, parts and service from our own engineers.

Label Die Cutters

A digital label die cutter takes printed sheets from a stack, reads the registration marks with a camera and kiss-cuts each label or sticker to shape. There are no steel dies to make, so short runs and frequent design changes are practical, turning your printer into a short-run label line.
- Best For: Product labels, sticker sheets, packaging seals and promotional decals in short to medium runs.
- The Range: Skycut A3MAX2, the A3 die cutter with camera contour cutting to start with; Skycut A3MAX7 with a servo drive for daily label production, holding up to 150 sheets of label stock.
- Why DPI: Installed with operator training by DPI’s engineers and set up with your printer’s print-and-cut workflow.

Flatbed Digital Cutting

A flatbed digital cutting system holds board and thick material flat on the bed and uses interchangeable tools to through-cut, half-cut, crease and mark it. A camera reads the print, so boards printed on a UV or latex printer are cut precisely to the artwork for packaging samples, POP displays and shaped signage.
- Best For: Packaging prototypes and short-run boxes, POP displays, foam board and corrugated signage, and kiss-cut stickers on sheets.
- The Range: iECHO PK Series with automatic sheet loading for packaging samples, display boards and stickers; iECHO BK4 for high-speed flatbed production cutting.
- Why DPI: Matched to your flatbed or hybrid printer, with ONYX Thrive auto-trim workflows, installation and training from DPI.

Desktop Cutters

A desktop cutter is a compact cutting machine that sits beside your computer and cuts adhesive vinyl, paper, heat-transfer vinyl and cardstock up to 3 mm thick and 12 in wide. It reads printed registration marks too, so small businesses and makers can print-and-cut stickers and labels without a production plotter.
- Best For: Small-batch stickers and labels, custom heat-transfer T-shirts, packaging inserts, crafts and prototypes.
- The Range: Silhouette Cameo 5, with a 12 in cutting width and materials up to 3 mm thick.
- Why DPI: An easy first cutter with local support from DPI, and a simple step up to Graphtec or Skycut as volumes grow.
- 12 in Wide

Engravers & Milling Machines

Engravers, metal printers and milling machines carve, mark and shape rather than cut through. A rotary engraver cuts text and logos into plastics and soft metals, an impact metal printer marks metal with a diamond-tipped pin, and a CNC milling machine shapes wax, foam and resin into prototypes and small parts.
- Best For: Awards, nameplates and signs, personalised metal gifts and jewellery, product prototypes, jigs and small parts.
- The Range: Roland DE-3 rotary engraver with a 305 × 230 mm table; Roland VersaSTUDIO MPX-90S metal printer for metals up to 200 HV; Roland SRM-20 compact milling machine; Roland MDX-50 benchtop CNC milling machine with a five-tool automatic tool changer.

Questions
Cutting, Answered
Which Cutter Should I Pair with My Printer?
It depends on how you print. Roll-feed cutting plotters with optical registration suit roll graphics such as decals and wraps; label die cutters suit printed sheets of labels; flatbed systems suit boards and packaging. ONYX print-and-cut workflows send the cut paths to the cutter, so print and cut stay matched.
What Is Contour Cutting?
Contour cutting means cutting around printed shapes rather than in straight lines. Registration marks are printed with the job; the cutter reads them and follows the outline of each sticker or graphic.
Can You Demo a Cut on My Material?
Yes. Send us your file and material and we'll run a test cut on it, so you can check the result before you choose a cutter.
Do You Service Cutters?
Yes. Our in-house certified engineers install, maintain and troubleshoot the cutters we sell, and train your operators at installation. DPI has been a Graphtec distributor since 2005.
Do You Also Supply Engravers and Milling Machines?
Yes. Alongside our cutters we supply Roland DG desktop engravers, metal printers and milling machines: the DE-3 for awards and nameplates, the MPX-90S for marking metal, and the SRM-20 and MDX-50 for prototypes and small parts. See Roland DG Engravers & Milling Machines.
